Walks and Wildlife Discovery in Romécourt

By Terre et Partage | Stéphane Corbeil
Nature guide & photographer

Reconnecting people with nature.
What if we took the time to listen to birdsong, identify trees while investigating the
tracks and signs left by animals, marvel at a wild orchid or capture the perfect moment
through a lens?

I invite you to explore differently and discover the discreet richness of the Pays du Saulnois and its
unique salt ponds.

Whether you are curious about nature, a budding photographer or simply a walker, these outings are designed for all
audiences in a spirit of sharing, awareness, transmission and contemplation.

Dive into the heart of the forest for a sensory and playful immersion!

During this outing, we will set off to discover the forest ecosystem, from its majestic green giants to the most discreet carpets of moss.

This adventure invites us to better understand dendrology, the study of trees, by observing different species and learning to recognise their bark, leaves and history.

But the forest is not only about trees; it is teeming with wildlife.

We will try to spot and identify the inhabitants of the forest through their tracks, songs and signs of presence.

Finally, a special focus will be dedicated to the tiny wonders that are mosses and bryophytes, true indicators of humidity and air purity.

On the programme:

  • Introduction to tree identification, or dendrology.
  • Exploration of the natural habitats of forest wildlife.
  • Discovery of the fascinating world of mosses and lichens.
  • Sensory games: listening, touching, observing.
  • Moments of wonder and connection with nature.

Open to all audiences: children from age 6, families, nature lovers.

Equipment to bring: walking shoes and clothing suited to the weather.
