Georges Pompidou Museum in Metz

Created in 2010, the Pompidou-Metz center is one of the most visited French museums outside of Paris. It is a nationally significant art center, which attracts visitors from all over Europe and more particularly from Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Its permanent exhibition is dedicated to modern and contemporary art. It presents major works of the 20th and 21st centuries and in the cultural landscape of Europe. The futuristic looking building was designed by architects: Shigeru Ban, Jean de Gastines, and Philip Gumuchdjian.

A true regional pride and cultural heart, the museum houses many high-quality temporary exhibitions and also offers many other activities: live shows, cinemas, workshops, etc.

The permanent workshops are intended for the artistic initiation of children and adolescents and supplemented by highlights intended to enhance the creativity of young audiences.
